God: “You said you wanted what I wanted.”
Me: “Yes Lord.”

God: “You have it.”
Me: (silence)

God: “Isn’t that what you wanted?”
Me: (at last honesty) “No Lord.”

God: “Then you do not want what I want?”
Me: “I do, but I also want to be married. I also want what I want.”

God: “The problem is not your desire to be married. That is a good desire. 
          The problem is that you expect that I should give you
          what you want when you want and how you want.
           If a sparrow does not fall without my knowledge...
           If I dress the lilies in such splendor...
           If I cloth the grass of the field which so quickly withers...
           Do you imagine I have forgotten you...my beloved?
           I have not forgotten you...do not worry.

God: “You are still troubled...why?”
Me: “I’m lonely.”

God: (gently) “I know.”  

This is kind of where I am.  It has taken a while to get to this point but it would seem that even though I was not purposely trying to fill the void with women and other things I still was.  Today I say no more.  Today I kiss dating goodbye until the one I am supposed to be with knocks me out from behind like a ninja.  (figuratively not literally, knocking me out is not a good thing) I have recently met a woman with whom I feel I can be very me but it seems God has other plans.  So for now I am just tightening the strap and hanging on for the ride.  I shall take the time spent seeking God and not focusing on the opposite sex.  God said, "It is not good for man to be alone" I find that though it is not good it is often necessary. 

Though this may not be what you have been expecting it is what is written for tonight.

Mad World

I just finished Donnie Darko, and a while back on Xanga I wrote a blog about a quote in that movie.  It goes, "Destruction is a form of creation."  That is not what this post is.  In the movie Frank tells Donnie the exact time when he is going to die.  So this brought up the question, what would you do if you knew the exact time and date of your death.  Perhaps this is a little macabre but so is life yes? What would you do if you knew?  In the movie he is given 28 days plus a few hours.  Would it change the next almost month and they way you spent it. Would you spend it appreciating the family and friends around you? Would you savor the smell of the roses.  The delectable sandwich you eat for lunch?  Would all of the annoyances of everyday life suddenly vanish?  Would you tell anyone or would you keep it from them?  Would your love grow exponentially or would you try to get them to move on before you go? Would you find religion? Would you cry or be apathetic? Would life go on the same as before? Would you forgive those who have done you wrong? Would you seek pardon from those you have wronged? Perhaps it may seem like an interrogation from me to you on the subject, however I am asking myself the very same questions.  Life is over in a blink are you ready? Can you say for sure you are comfortable with the idea of death? Ah well c'est la vie. In mine I have questions and until next time I will leave you with these.

I have not blogged in a long time, however this seems to be a return to form for me. I would like this blog to be very eclectic, or maybe I will create a different one for each subject? I dont know... I would like to touch on music, movies, games, life in general, and anything anyone else would like to hear. I will from time to time post websites as I stumble upon them. If anyone has things they would like to hear please let me know. Currently I am working on a new design for my guitar. I have an irish flag on it right now I just need something to go with it.
